Chart Review

Review a linked symbol, measure a move, and keep drawings anchored as the chart timeframe or pane size changes.

Open Chart in Context

Chart is most useful beside Scanner or Lists. Keep it linked while reviewing candidates so each row selection updates the chart.

Use the chart header to change timeframe, open Indicators, and access chart actions. Drawing and measurement tools live in the chart-local palette because they affect the plot rather than the workspace layout.

Measure a Move

Choose Measure, then select the start and end of the move. The result reports price change, percentage change, bar count, and elapsed time for the active chart.

Measurements recalculate when the timeframe, zoom, or pane size changes. Their saved market times and prices remain the source of truth.

Drawing Tools

The chart palette includes:

  • Pointer
  • Measure
  • Fibonacci Retracement
  • Trend Line
  • Horizontal Price Level
  • Rectangle
  • Trade Plan
  • Text
  • Saved drawings

Select a completed drawing to move or resize it. Double-click supported drawings to open Properties. Use Delete or Backspace to remove a selected drawing when no text editor is active.

Price Levels and Alerts

A Horizontal Price Level stores one exact price and spans the plot on every timeframe. Use it for support, resistance, breakout, or invalidation levels.

Right-click a chart price or supported drawing to open available alert actions. The drawing and alert remain independent: changing or deleting one does not silently rewrite the other.

Trade Plan Is Planning Only

Trade Plan records entry, stop, and target levels for visual planning. It never places or routes an order.

Choose Entry, then Stop. StockVyze infers long or short direction and creates an initial 2R target. Drag an individual level to change it, drag the body to move the entire plan, or drag the right edge to change only its visual width.

Text Notes

Choose Text, click an anchor, and enter the note. Enter adds a line; Esc or Cmd/Ctrl+Enter finishes editing. An untouched placeholder creates nothing.

While the text cursor is active, Delete and Backspace edit the note. After editing closes, those keys remove the selected drawing.

Future Sessions Are Not Candles

The chart can show exchange-scheduled empty time to the right so time-anchored drawings can extend into verified future sessions. Those slots are not fabricated candles. If the market-calendar boundary is reached, the chart identifies where verified coverage ends.
