Lists & Watchlists

Open watchlists, universes, and scan results in one pane, then keep only the columns needed for the current review.

What Lists Contains

The Lists pane is the common surface for several symbol sources:

SourceOwnershipTypical use
WatchlistYou maintain the symbols.Track candidates or a focused theme.
UniverseStockVyze defines the membership.Browse a market or index-sized source.
Saved scanYou define repeatable conditions.Monitor names that currently match a setup.
Built-in scanStockVyze defines the rules.Start from a maintained research view.

Opening a source adds it to the pane's working set so you can move between related lists without changing tools.

Create a Focused Watchlist

Use New -> Watchlist, the empty-workspace New watchlist quick action, or search for New watchlist in the tool palette.

  1. Enter a clear name based on the job or thesis.
  2. Search for symbols or switch to Paste list.
  3. Review new, existing, duplicate, and invalid entries.
  4. Create the watchlist with the valid symbols.

Invalid entries must be corrected before saving. Creating or editing a watchlist does not silently discard a pasted draft.

Keep Columns Deliberate

More columns are not automatically more useful. Open the list actions menu and choose Replace columns when the current set does not match the review.

The Basic preset keeps four values beside Symbol:

  • Price
  • Chg%
  • Volume
  • Market Cap

Use a performance, momentum, volatility, trend, or liquidity preset only when that is the question you are answering. My columns returns to the custom columns saved with the list when available.

Review Symbols With a Linked Chart

Use the Review saved symbols workspace starter or place Lists beside Chart manually. Click rows to move the shared workspace symbol while the chart follows.

Use row actions when you need to copy or modify a symbol without changing linked panes first.

Add or Remove Symbols

Writable watchlists support membership changes from the list actions and symbol row actions. Universes, scans, and built-in sources remain read-only.

Copying all symbols uses the complete ordered result, not only the rows visible in the viewport. Pasting accepts symbols separated by spaces, commas, tabs, or new lines.

Empty and Error States

  • No symbols yet: add symbols or edit the watchlist.
  • Invalid pasted symbols: correct them before saving.
  • List is read-only: create a personal watchlist when you need membership changes.
  • Data is unavailable: keep the source and retry instead of replacing missing values with assumed data.
